“Jacques Pépin: The Art of Craft” PBS American Masters Premieres Friday May 26

Alice Waters, Jacques Pepin, Julia Child, James Beard: “Chef’s Flights” on PBS American MastersOn Friday, May 26, 2017 at 9:00 pm, PBS stations will air the documentary for the first time. “Jacques Pépin: the Art of Craft” is part of a four documentary series called “Chef’s Flight” which also features:

Alice Waters and her Delicious Revolution (with video clip)
Julia! America’s Favorite Chef (with video clip)
James Beard: America’s First Foodie (with video clip)

Filled with history and humor, the documentary opens with the irreverent Anthony Bourdain and travels back in time to Jacques’ childhood in France, his early interest in food and cooking and his journey to America. The film is produced and directed by Peter L. Stein. Stein has been a longtime collaborator with Jacques, having produced many of his early public television series.
